Built because it happened to us

We run a content platform with over 150,000 users. Fake documents arrived daily. The first verification engine we licensed let too many of them through, so we replaced it, added our own risk rules on top, and built a manual review desk for everything in between.

Vigilum is that system, packaged so you can run it yourself. It was not designed in a workshop. It was hardened in production, against people actively trying to get past it.

The name comes from the vigiles, the night watch of ancient Rome. They patrolled the city while everyone slept and decided who got through. That is the job.

Three layers, because no engine catches everything

Automated verification

Document and selfie capture with checks powered by IDAnalyzer API v2, using your own API key. Forgery detection, MRZ validation, face match, liveness.

Your risk rules

A configurable rules engine on top of the raw result: document country versus IP, retry patterns, account age, whatever your risk model needs.

Human review

Everything doubtful lands in a review queue with an operator panel and roles. Approve, reject, request a retry. The final word stays with your team.
